Valeriia Burliuk

"Since childhood, creativity has been her tool to explore the world. Being one of the followers of the D. Burliuk family, Valeriia has upheld his views throughout her creative career, inspired by the story of his life and work. In a lot of Valeria's works, one can see unconscious echoes of her ancestor's work.

Valeriia began her career as an artist by studying academic art. In 2013 she started her first experiments in new directions. She works in the technique of painting, photography and performance. Using different practices in her creative projects, Valeriia appeals to the themes of nature and a human, the divine and magical principle, to which man was so close in ancient times. It is also a study of the human being himself – body and soul and their interactions.

Nowadays Valeriia’s experimental work is at the intersection of performance and bio-art.

And she works with photography and painting as a tool for contemporary communication."
